 As you may be aware, cancer is the leading cause of death in Alachua County, with prostate cancer leading in the burden of cancer for men.  Black men in general and particularly in Alachua County, experience disparities in all phases of prostate cancer control continuum, including prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and end of life. To create awareness about prostate cancer, promote prostate cancer prevention and timely detection in the Black community, the UF Prostate Disease Center is pleased to present the 2010 Annual Prostate Health and Wellness (PHW) Expo on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 7:30am to 2:00pm.
